I think that convergence media will have a huge impact in my choice field (journalism) and is a significant development in the industry. The public expects to receive their news immediately and efficiently, and with the help of technology this is becoming more and more the norm. Reporters and journalists are using more platforms to get news to their readers quicker.
Now, with things such as Facebook and Twitter, along with the help of smart phones, people can see their news when they want, where they want, and how they want, fixed with links, images and video. Not only is the audience benefiting from this, but news organizations are gaining profit by expanding their readership and making news more convenient.
I think that this will also make journalism as a whole easier for the journalist because they will be able to use their own smart phones and Twitters, etc., to reach their audiences. Posting links to these social networking sites also allows the journalist to provide more information to the audience without necessarily having to research and write it themselves.
In conclusion, convergence media is very important to today's news industry and to the reader. Now reporters and journalists alike can spread news to their readers quicker and on multi platforms. Readers can get their news when they want it, where they want and how they want it with links and images to expand the news process. Overall, convergence will play a key role in the future of journalism.

Drag Me To Hell
"Drag Me To Hell" (2009) is possibly the worst movie ever made. The previews in this case are more misleading than a Weight Watchers commercial. Not only that, but it completely mimics the idea of Final Destination with a twist of The Exorcist.
The film is about an old gypsy woman who goes to the bank and asks Christine, the loan officer, for an extension so that she may keep her house. Despite efforts with the branch manager, the extension would not go through. Apparently some people just don't understand good economics or the purpose of business, because the old hag goes crazy and curses Christine for doing such a 'horrible deed' to her. Puh-leez!
If anything, this film should be under the 'comedy' section On-Demand instead of the 'horror' that it was definitely mistakenly placed under. At one point Christine gets a projectile bloody nose that gushes at least 3 gallons of blood, mostly on to her boss. At this point, her bosses main concern is if any blood got in his mouth, while other employees are concerned about the carpet. No one slightly worried that this 110 pound woman just had gallons of blood fly from her head? No? Ok.
Not only that, but Christine is haunted by this dead gypsy woman throughout the entire film. When she stumbles upon the old woman's funeral she freaks out, hits the casket, and when the body of the gypsy falls on to her bile begins to spew from the corpses mouth directly into Christines. The entire funeral stares at this like it is an every day occurence, and when Christine finally composes herself she stands up and leaves the funeral, bile free. When the woman haunts her later in the film her eyes fly out of her head, muscle and all, right into Christine's mouth...again. Let me note here that not once in this entire film does this girl throw up. UNREALISTIC!
The only way to rid this evil thing from taking her to hell is to persuade it from taking her soul. Upon doing this, a goat is brought in for sacrafice, which seems normal when it comes to evil and witchcrafty things. What doesn't seem normal is when the spirit posesses this goat and the goat starts talking and begins to run around and bite people. Yeah, this seems normal...
I'm beginning to think that maybe she really did do something to deserve to get dragged to hell....perhaps, bad acting?

Introduction
In an effort to recover from the sad excuse of a journalist that I am I was convinced to start a blog. Here I will feel free to vent, rant, rave and judge to my hearts content (grammar aside and criticisms encouraged).
